A Great Day

I had a great day today. This afternoon we went to the pool, we had so much fun. You can see pictures of some of the fun @ the Jaimez Photoblog. It was so much fun spending the day together in the sun.

Tonight Elijah had his last t-ball game. They did such a great job and Elijah is so excited about his medal. The season went by so fast, I am almost sorry it is over, never fear, soccor season will soon be here.

The pool, a t-balll game just a few things that made it a good day. Spending it with my family made it a great day. I need to have them more often

Quiz Results

These are the results of a couple of quiz's I took. The results are really of no surprise to me. On the theological worldview, I thought I might of scored higher on the emergant/postmodern part, but oh well. I don't know who wrote the quiz's definition of a fundamentalist, it dosn't describe most I know. We study the word all the time academicly and with science proving the bible true all the time how can we say we are against it. The problem to many times is not science it is it is Dwarin agenda so prevelent in science. Now the Eschatology quiz might surprise a lot of my baptist friends and family, they are mostly pretib dispensationalists. I am actually Partial Preterist, but I quess that was not on the list.

You scored as Fundamentalist. You are a fundamentalist. You take the Bible as the foundation of your faith and read it very literally, and it shapes your worldview. Non-fundamentalist Christians have watered-down the Gospel in your view, and academic study of the Bible stops us from 'taking God at his word.' Science is opposed to faith, as it contradicts basic biblical truths.

You scored as Preterist. You take the historical setting of the Bible very seriously, and believe that passages like Daniel 7 and Mark 13 were speaking about their own day rather than the End of Time, though there will still be a time when Jesus is 'unveiled' and there will be final judgement and new creation.

Nick Cannon - Can I Live - How Much Potential Has Been Lost

I was reading the opinion page of our local newspaper and came across this amazing story written by Kathryn Lopez. Here is a link to the story and to Nick Cannon's web site.

My question is how much potential has been lost to the world due to abortion. We have no idea the impact this epedimic has had and will have on our world. I can't imagine the genius we have thrown away. Nick Cannon is a very talented young man whose contribution (yes even drumline) would be missed.

I can only pray that the many who are considering an abortion will look at Nick Cannon's story and remember that the baby inside her is a living person. A person full of God-Ordained potential and purpose. It is not some parasite or clump of cells. No, that is a a baby.

Eight Of The Best Years of My Life

I am the luckiest man I know. Why you may ask? It is because for the last eight years I have been married to such a wonderful woman. Today is our eighth wedding anniversary. I must say that I am more in love with her today than I have ever been. It is amazing to think that there was a time without her. How did I get by. All I know is that it would be a tradgedy to not have her in my life today. I am so fortuate, so lucky, so incredibly blessed each day that she is my wife.

A note to Mary:

Remember when we were first together and we would talk and kiss and what ever we wanted for as long as we wanted. I sometimes wish it could always be that way, but so often it seems that our lives don't alow us to do the things we need to do and still sqeeze in special time for us, so for our anniversary remember that no matter how complicated, or crazy, or hectic our lives are sure to get, one simple truth is forever in my heart
I ADORE YOU & I LOVE YOU.
